The career I chose for the future is chemical engineering.
The special training and skills (Human capital) I need for this career is: intelligence, perseverance, background in Science and Math.
The basic skills I can gain for this career come mainly from home, that is responsibility, hard work, perseverance, love for what I do and commitment. Then, the acquisition of knowledge, which at first is at school and later a profound and real study or understanding of chemical engineering, in my case.
What I should be doing now to prepare for this career is studying Physics, Math and Chemistry and they are six years of study.
There are many places where I can prepare for this career in Concepción and they are Universidad de Concepción, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Universidad del Bío-Bío and others in other cities.
After studies we can work in factories, metallurgical companies and pulp mills.
We will earn about one or two million Chilean pesos a month where we work.
What we have to do as a professional is work with high standards of responsibility and love for the job.
I do it all for the progress of humankind, and for my personal satisfaction.
